Within the Office of Strategy and Institutional Effectiveness (OSIE), reporting to the Director of OSIE, the Institutional Research Analyst plays an important role in supporting institutional research, data management, reporting, analytics, surveys, and performance measurement. This position also supports the preparation and validation of institutional data for regulatory, accreditation, ranking, and institutional reporting requirements, while also contributing to the development of dashboards, analytical reports, surveys, and performance indicators.
The Institutional Research Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing data/statistics, preparing reports. The post holder assists in the provision of institutional data using various technologies; administering surveys in support of institutional research, planning, and evaluation activities. The analyst assists in the coordination of all aspects of external data reporting, including preparing data files for analysis, collecting data from academic programs and administrative offices, and ensuring data accuracy. The post holder also follows up on actions identified in actions plans developed from surveys to ensure that these are completed.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in data analytics, statistics, business analytics, information systems, mathematics, economics, social sciences, education, or a related quantitative discipline
2 - 4 years’ professional experience with collection, statistical analysis, interpretation and presentation of data results, preferably in a research and/or educational environment
Essential: Understanding of higher-education data domains such as students, admissions, enrolment, progression, retention, graduation, employment, learning outcomes, faculty, research, partnerships, and community engagement. Familiarity with UAE MoHESR/CAA requirements, OBEF, accreditation, or institutional licensure is highly desirable.
Desirable: Advanced spreadsheet skills; strong data cleaning, validation, reconciliation, statistical analysis, visualization, and interpretation capabilities. Working knowledge of SQL and a business-intelligence tool such as Power BI is highly desirable. Experience with SPSS, R, Python, or comparable analytical software is advantageous.
Essential: Strong communication skills with the ability to speak, read and write in English at native language level.
Desirable: Proficiency in reading and writing Arabic.
