Job summary

Finerio is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join our UAE team on an urgent basis. The role focuses on audit support and IFRS advisory services, ideal for professionals with a Big 8 background seeking advancement in a dynamic client-focused environment in the UAE.

Key responsibilities include preparing IFRS financial statements, coordinating with statutory auditors, and delivering practical accounting guidance. Immediate or near-immediate joining is required.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of external audit and/or IFRS accounting advisory experience.
• Prior experience with Big 8 audit firms in the UAE is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements for groups of companies per IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS presentation and disclosure requirements.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Ability to join immediately or at very short notice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated and separate financial statements in IFRS for client groups.
• Coordinate with auditors to resolve queries on financial statements.
• Apply IFRS presentation and disclosure requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide IFRS accounting advisory services with practical, commercially sound solutions.
• Provide audit support by liaising with clients' finance teams to resolve queries.
• Draft position papers on IFRS topics for review by a manager or partner.
• Keep up to date with IFRS changes and UAE regulatory requirements.

• Prepare consolidated and separate financial statements for groups of companiesin strict accordance with IFRS for clients whichare to be submitted to their statutory auditors for their review. Coordinate withauditors to resolve their queries and comments onthe financial statements.

• Provide audit support services to clients which includes liaising effectivelywith clients' finance teams to resolve audit queries received fromtheirstatutory auditors and build strong working relationships.
• Prepare position papers on IFRS technical topics on behalf of clients and getit reviewed by a manager or partner.
