The candidate should possess strong ISA/IFRS knowledge, UAE regulatory awareness and the ability to manage multiple engagements while coaching junior team members. Proficiency in audit software and Excel is desirable, with UAE experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• ACCA Affiliate or ACCA Member or equivalent qualification.
• 4–6 years external audit experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• UAE audit experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience auditing SMEs and owner‑managed businesses desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise statutory audit engagements from start to finish.

The Audit Supervisor will be responsible for the planning, execution, supervision and completion of audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of UAE clients.

The successful candidate should have strong practical knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements, combined with the ability to manage multiple engagements, supervise junior team members and communicate effectively with clients and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise statutory and other audit engagements from commencement through completion.
• Develop audit plans and determine appropriate audit procedures based on engagement risks and materiality.
• Perform and review risk assessments, audit working papers, substantive procedures and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate internal controls, accounting processes and financial reporting systems and identify control deficiencies.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for compliance with IFRS and applicable UAE requirements.
• Ensure audit engagements are conducted in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and the firm’s audit methodology.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior auditors and other engagement team members.
• Manage audit timelines, budgets, deliverables and client information requirements.
• Identify significant accounting, audit and financial reporting matters and identify them appropriately.
• Prepare and review management letters, audit findings and recommendations.
• Liaise directly with clients’ finance teams, management and other stakeholders throughout the engagement.
• Assist in resolving complex accounting and audit issues in consultation with senior management/partners.
• Maintain complete, accurate and properly documented audit files suitable for internal and external quality reviews.
• Support the firm’s ongoing development of audit methodologies, templates, quality management procedures and technical resources.
• Assist with proposals, client onboarding and other business development activities where required.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification

ACCA Affiliate, ACCA Member or equivalent internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.

Experience

• Approximately 4-6 years of external audit experience within a professional audit firm.
• At least 1-2 years of experience supervising audit engagements.
• UAE audit experience will be a strong advantage.
• Experience managing audits of SMEs and owner-managed businesses is desirable.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
• Strong understanding and practical application of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Ability to independently plan and execute audit engagements.
• Good understanding of audit risk assessment, materiality, sampling and substantive audit procedures.
• Strong financial statement preparation and review skills.
• Familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT.
• Experience with audit software and cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
