Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Sports Performance Coach focused on Youth Development for an on-site role in Soweto. You will design age-appropriate training programs, deliver structured sessions, and provide feedback to athletes and parents to foster growth and enjoyment in sport.
The ideal candidate has coaching certification, experience with youth development, and a passion for inspiring young athletes.
Qualifications
- Coaching youth athletes with emphasis on positive development.
- Understanding of age-appropriate training methods.
- Knowledge of youth sports psychology and motivation.
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required.
Responsibilities
- Develop structured training sessions tailored to different youth age groups and skill levels.
- Coach youth athletes on fundamental skills, techniques, and sportsmanship.
- Create a safe, inclusive environment that promotes engagement and enjoyment.
- Monitor progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to athletes and parents.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to support development goals.
- Ensure all coaching activities align with organizational safety protocols and developmental objectives.
