Job summary

Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to support teenagers and young adults in achieving personal, academic and career goals. This hybrid role combines in-person guidance with virtual engagement to empower youth across the Free State community.

You will build trust, create mentoring plans, facilitate skill-building, and connect learners with resources, workshops and volunteer opportunities while tracking progress and addressing challenges.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with youth in an educational, mentoring, or social support capacity.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and the challenges facing young people today.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional boundaries.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote communication and engagement.
