Job summary

A leading food company in Randfontein is looking for a Yields Clerk on a Fixed Term Contract. The successful candidate will aid the Commercial team with weekly and monthly calculations of raw and packaging material yields. Key responsibilities include finalizing yields, conducting stock evaluations, and preparing financial yield figures. A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, and experience in an FMCG environment is preferred. Proficiency in MSOffice is essential.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification or studying towards an Accounting/Finance qualification.
• Experience working in an FMCG environment will be advantageous.
• Working knowledge on MSOffice – Excel, Word.
• Working knowledge on Syspro or any other ERP system will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Finalise actual yields on a monthly basis for materials used.
• Conduct monthly stock takings and valuations for year-end audit.
• Compare financial and factory yields, investigating variances.
• Maintain spreadsheets for daily/weekly/monthly yields.
• Engage in preparation of yield figures for financial statements.
• Adhere to tight deadlines which may result in long hours.

Job Description

RCL FOODS is seeking a skilled Yields Clerk to join our Commercial team in Randfontein on a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months to aid the team with weekly and monthly calculations and reconciliations of raw and packaging material to ensure correct yields.

Minimum Requirements

• A tertiary qualification or studying towards an Accounting/Finance qualification
• Experience working in an FMCG environment will be advantageous
• Working knowledge on MSOffice – Excel, Word
• Working knowledge on Syspro or any other ERP system will be advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities

• Finalise actual yields on a monthly basis i.e. calculations and control of all raw materials, finished products and packaging materials used to ensure efficient use of materials.
• Conduct monthly stock takings and valuations with special controlling of stock records for year-end audit.
• Compare financial and factory yields, investigating variances and liaising with factories in case of discrepancies.
• Maintain spreadsheets for daily/weekly/monthly yields.
• Engage in preparation of yield figures to draw up financial statements up to gross margins.
• Adhere to non- negotiable tight deadlines which could result in long working hours.
