Who Can Apply
  • Unemployed youth who have not previously participated in the Yes4Youth initiative.
  • Aged between 18 and 29.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must reside close to the workplace area.
  • Must not have a criminal record.
  • Must be able to start employment on 1 May.
  • Highest Qualification: Grade 12 (qualification aligned to the position would be an advantage).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to climb and lift heavy equipment.
  • Effective communication skills; speaking English is preferred.
  • Ability to plan and execute projects.
Duration

12 months.

Compensation

R stipend monthly.

Responsibilities
  • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Installs equipment and appliances.
  • Complies with all safety regulations.
  • Reports issues to the maintenance manager.
  • Responds promptly to repair and maintenance requests.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.
  • Reads and follows manuals and other written instructions.
  • Uses equipment including power tools, hand tools, electrical tools, and plumbing tools with care.
