Summary

The Yacht Acceptance Agent is responsible for inspecting and accepting yachts presented by the contracted factory at handover, from initial inspection through to final signoff by Travelopia Marine.

Responsibilities
  1. Handover Inspection: Use Sailsense to inspect yachts for defects, covering all systematic and functional aspects. Verify all paperwork in the commissioning file, check accuracy of confirmation of order, color charts, and standard equipment list. Document defects and prepare reports promptly for review by the Yacht Acceptance Lead.
  2. Final Sign-off: Confirm dock space availability, review defect reports for completeness, and ensure the skippers' pack and commissioning file are complete. Prepare yachts for departure, record sea trial results, and highlight safety issues. Conduct sea trials, document defects, and record all findings digitally.
  3. Logistics: Assist in yacht preparation for departure, load yachts onto freighters if needed, monitor stored yachts, and coordinate with R&C to ensure smooth processes. Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience working on or with yachts.
  • RYA Yachtmaster Offshore or equivalent certification.
  • SA Operators license.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Marine Surveyor's diploma.
  • Technical diploma.

Employment Details: Full-time, Associate level, in the Travel Arrangements function.
