Job description

PRESS RELEASE

Xelvin returns to Pretoria for the 15th time: 70–80 interviews scheduled for All-round Maintenance Technicians on September 19–21 Pretoria.

From September 19th to 21st, Dutch engineering consultancy Xelvin will once again travel to South Africa for its 15th recruitment mission. Over the course of three days, Xelvin will conduct 70 to 80 one-on-one interviews with qualified candidates for the position of All-round Maintenance Technician (Millwright). This time, four Dutch employers will join the delegation. Thanks to these direct interviews, at least 60% of candidates receive a concrete job offer for the Netherlands shortly after the interview.

A proven track record

Xelvin has successfully relocated over 1,000 international technical professionals to the Netherlands, many of whom came from South Africa. One inspiring example is Cody and Raadiya, who made the move to the Netherlands through Xelvin and are now successfully employed at ASML and TRUMPF. Their story highlights Xelvin’s transparent communication and personalized support throughout the relocation process, as described in their testimonial on the Xelvin website.

Direct employer interviews = higher success rate

The unique setup allows candidates to speak directly with multiple Dutch employers in one session, creating faster matches and quicker job offers — benefiting both sides.

Full relocation support provided

Xelvin offers comprehensive support throughout the entire relocation and onboarding process:

  • €3,000 net relocation allowance
  • Housing assistance, including upfront payment of deposit and first month’s rent
  • Visa & work permit arrangements for the candidate and family
  • Airport/station pickup upon arrival; assistance with bank accounts, health insurance, BSN, GP registration, etc.
  • Introduction to the Dutch tax system, including 30%-ruling and payslip explanations
  • Social events such as BBQs and gatherings with fellow international engineers
  • Permanent contracts often follow after the initial secondment period

Apply now

  • Technical professionals with a Millwright / Red Seal qualification and several years of relevant work experience are encouraged to apply for one of the limited 70–80 interview slots. Selected candidates will meet directly with Dutch employers in September — and often receive a job offer shortly after.
