X4 Machine Setter

What you will enjoy doing:

1. Ensure all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines.
2. Ensure quality product is being produced at all times.
3. Ensure process is optimized to the fullest extent.
4. Ensure all raw materials required are available and defect free before being put into machine.
5. Monitor and report inconsistencies in above areas for all shifts not worked.
6. Should be able to make minor repairs to moulders.
7. Assist the Production Manager in implementing required training for Machine Operators.
8. Supervise orderliness, cleanliness and working order of the assigned machines and tools.
9. Responsible to report any risks identified for Quality and Food Safety Management where food contact product is produced in the plant.

Ensure on-going awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health and Safety Management.

What makes you great:

1. Technical qualification and good experience in plastic processing.
2. Matric / grade 12.
3. Experienced in Extrusion Blow Moulding and/or either Toolmaking, mechanic or electric/electronic systems.
4. Able to work in a team environment.
5. Able to train technical personnel.
6. Effectively manages time as a resource; gives balanced attention to appropriate long-term and short-term priorities.
7. Must have flexible work availability.
8. Able to prioritize, plan and execute duties with minimal supervision.
9. Excellent communication skills in local language and English.
