We have an exciting opportunity for x6 VIP (Security) Officers based at Regent Square, Kenilworth, Western Cape. Do you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?

VIP (Security) officers are responsible for maintaining a safe environment by monitoring surveillance, patrolling premises, preventing loss and theft, and reporting irregularities or suspicious acts.

You bring:

• Registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
• Previous security experience.

A bonus to have:

• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include:

• Arriving 15 minutes before the branch opens for perimeter checks and opening procedures.
• Conducting patrols inside and outside the premises, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Monitoring surveillance equipment and ensuring all security devices are operational.
• Managing guest and staff entry, including searching bags with scanners, and ensuring gender-specific scanning compliance.
• Controlling vehicle and foot traffic for smooth operation.
• Participating in opening and closing procedures, including securing entrances.
• Attending branch meetings and assisting with stock receipt, alarm testing, and daily reports.

Guest Service:

• Provide friendly, helpful, and courteous service to guests.
• Make positive first impressions and ensure guest feedback is addressed effectively.
• Wish departing guests well and invite them to return.

Compliance:

• Wear full uniform with name badge before shifts.
• Ensure all security equipment is functional and used correctly.
• No bags, weapons, or underage persons allowed inside.
• Handle difficult situations calmly and contact colleagues or authorities when necessary.

Code of Conduct:

• Remain alert, refrain from sitting, using mobile phones, eating, or smoking while on duty.
• Avoid alcohol or drug influence during shifts and do not leave your post unattended.

Additional Requirements:

• Report absenteeism 2 hours before shifts.
• Be flexible with rotating shifts and work independently.
• Maintain physical fitness and good analytical, computer, and creative skills.
