Our client is seeking a Workshop Technician to join their team, based in Gauteng. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the workshop.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent NQF
- Trade Tested Millwright with strong electrical/instrumentation skills
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
- Experience within Food and Beverage industry is an advantage
- Planning, organising, and time management skills
Key Duties:
- Troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery in a professional and timely manner
- Reading and understanding manuals, blueprints, diagrams, mechanical schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Running trials/tests on equipment and interpreting results for further recommendations
- Undertaking installation, commissioning, and training on equipment
- Writing reports based on findings and services on equipment
- Performing routine maintenance on complex equipment at site or in the workshop
- Working independently with minimal supervision and using technical judgment on complex tasks
- Providing prompt assistance and advice to customers for queries and breakdowns
- Ensuring customer expectations are exceeded in quality and service
- Responding immediately to workshop breakdown requests
- Analyzing causes of problems and arranging quotations for repairs
- Ensuring availability of spares to complete repairs
- Maintaining safety standards both in-house and at customer sites
- Participating in the standby team
