Workshop Manager / Supervisor required in Port Elizabeth.

Our client based in Coega IDZ work in the FMCG / Food / Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries. Knowledge of Cutting Welding and grinding experience Fabricating these products is essential.

The Workshop Manager / Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operation, organisation, and development of the workshop, including staff supervision, project management, quality control, equipment maintenance, materials management, and client communication.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 Years Relevant Experience – Workshop / Manufacturing / fabrication Environment
  • Minimum Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or Equivalent Qualification
  • Computer Literacy (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clear Criminal Record
  • Leadership and People Management Skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Operations: Manage Staff and Contractors; Resource Allocations; Goods Receiving;
  • Consumable Allocations; Equipment Management.
  • Quality: Manage & Maintain Manufacturing Quality; Provide Technical Advice/Support; Resolve
  • Quality Concerns and/or Errors.
  • Health & Safety: Workshop SHE Compliance; Conduct Risk Assessments, Ensure Equipment Safety;
  • Maintain Records/Registers, Train Staff, PPE Compliance.
  • Supervision & Development: Recruit, Train and Supervise Staff; Encourage Skill Development;
  • Manage Performance.
  • Administration & Reporting: Attend Meetings, Communicate Project Progress/Issues, Weekly/Daily Timesheets.
  • General: Maintain/Improve Workshop Facilities, Support Management, Training Opportunities.
