Job description

Workshop Manager position available in Brackenfell.

We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Workshop Manager to lead our technical operations in Cape Town.

This permanent, full-time position involves managing a team of 7 technicians (including 2 direct reports), ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service. You will report directly to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule daily technician routes (repairs, deliveries, service callouts)
  • Provide technical support for installations, maintenance, and basic weighing equipment
  • Manage software setup for new stores & online support for customers/technicians
  • Oversee quotes, repairs & service on wrapping equipment; maintain target GP% on spares
  • Assist with international dial-in support for distributors
  • Ensure completion of job cards, site visit reports, and NRCS verification
  • Maintain monthly checklists (laptops, phones, stock); order new equipment on time
  • Manage spares/job card registers and servicing records for non-SLA stores
  • Liaise with Lead Verification Officer to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Conduct performance reviews, monitor KPIs, and lead staff training
  • Coordinate weekend standby technicians & handle customer complaints
  • Ensure team readiness for incident response (in alignment with Helpdesk)

Requirements:

  • Matric + Diploma in Business Management
