This position is suited to an experienced individual who can ensure repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
The role involves providing technical and specialist support to staff, ensuring high-quality workmanship and service delivery.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Recruits, hires, and motivates qualified service technicians.
- Assists technicians in developing their skills.
- Ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
- Provides manufacturer training to department employees.
- Conducts performance reviews for technicians.
- Assigns repairs fairly among technicians.
- Provides technical support when needed.
- Ensures correct charging for repairs.
- Monitors repair progress throughout the day.
- Maintains quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks.
- Performs spot checks of completed jobs.
- Road tests vehicles to quality-check work.
- Ensures all documents are accounted for and correctly processed.
- Establishes customer follow-up programs to confirm satisfaction.
- Handles customer complaints within 24 hours.
- Manages department performance using various tools and reports.
- Monitors technicians' productivity and payroll records.
- Maintains shop conditions, safety, and equipment.
- Reports issues to the service manager or dealer.
- Manages tools and inventory.
- Recommends new equipment and tools.
- Fills in for service advisor and dispatcher when necessary.
- Attends manager’s meetings.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum qualifications include workshop Foreman experience.
