Job description

A Well-established Dealership, has a vacancy for a Workshop Foreman with at least 5 years relevant experience in a dealership join their team in Stellenbosch (Western Cape)

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide effective technical and specialist support to staff, whilst ensuring a high-quality service delivery to customers. Maximizing service sales and profitability by creating customer confidence in the Dealership by providing quality service.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage and monitor labor sales and workshop profitability, and at all times conduct effective workshop planning
  • Plan workshop production according to productive and available staff
  • Attend to escalated workshop (technical) problems accordingly
  • Evaluate all serviced vehicles (technical) and assist in ordering parts
  • Maintain good housekeeping within department
  • Manage training of all service staff
  • Provide feedback to all workshop staff on individual performance against targets
  • Control (WIP) work in progress on all vehicles in the workshop daily to acceptable levels
  • Manage risk (financial and non – financial) within department
  • Manage and drive personal and professional development
  • Provide efficient and effective internal communication
Minimum Requirements:
  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • 5 Years’ Workshop experience in a Dealership
  • Supervisory/Foreman experience in a Workshop would be highly advantageous.
  • The aptitude and competency to manage a team effectively
