Maximize efficient use of labor and equipment for high productivity.Ensure all chargeable materials are recorded on job cards.Minimize waste of consumables.Customer Satisfaction
Guarantee a high level of repair and service quality.Maintain cleanliness and care of customer vehicles throughout the service process.Health and Safety
Ensure staff adhere to all health and safety standards.Protect customers and their property from workshop hazards.Limits of Authority
Capital Expenditure : No purchasing authority.Operational Expenditure : May procure essential tools / equipment with written Service Manager approval.HR Authority : No hiring / firing rights; may discipline staff on routine matters.Main Job Functions
Staff Management
Ensure all staff are adequately trained and working efficiently.Fairly allocate job assignments to technicians.Supervise the use of equipment and maintain document security.Coordinate with other departments.Ensure repair orders are properly costed and coded.Oversee sublet suppliers to ensure competence, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.Security
Ensure customer vehicles and belongings are secure.Account for all parts / materials issued from the Parts Department.Secure all tools, documentation, and equipment.Administration
Monitor and manage job progress through the workshop.Authorise internal parts and consumables requisitions.Approve non-productive time related to vehicle work.Enforce and uphold health and safety procedures.Distribute updated technical manuals and service information.Assign fixed rate units to job cards prior to costing and warranty claims submission.Maintain overall workshop control and efficiency.Experience and Qualifications
Proven ability to supervise and manage workshop staff.Experience in staff performance assessment and reporting.Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.Ability to maintain and improve technical knowledge and skills.Prior experience with BSI systems is preferred.
