Description: Our client, in the Automotive industry, based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ an experienced Workshop Foreman.
Requirements:
- Matric qualification is essential.
- Possessing a Trade will be advantageous.
- A thorough understanding of and experience with machining, welding and assembly techniques.
- Laser cutting, CNC bending and machining experience will be advantageous.
- Able to make critical decisions under pressure, while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of the staff.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Provide safe and effective Manufacturing supervision whilst manufacturing the company's equipment.
- Assign tasks to the company's personnel or operatives under your direct control, in order to achieve optimum productivity in the workshop.
- Ensure a flexible approach is taken when carrying out effective Workshop Supervision.
- Provide all relevant documentation throughout the manufacturing period and at completion to Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Inspect work of employees for quality, progress and satisfactory completion and check progress at suitable intervals against drawings.
- Undertaking manufacturing and assembly jobs.
- General administration for personnel and record keeping.
