We are assisting our client in recruiting for a dynamic Workshop & Design Manager who will to lead the workshop operations and play a hands-on role in all technical design activities

POSITION INFO :

The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design using SolidWorks, technical project management, workshop planning, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on Design :

• Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Develop innovative solutions to meet client and project needs.
• Revise and optimize designs as needed, ensuring manufacturability.

Workshop Management :

• Oversee daily workshop activities, production schedules, and staff.
• Coordinate workflow and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Supervise installation and commissioning as required.

Project & Technical Management :

• Oversee technical aspects and overall planning of multiple projects.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Monitor project timelines, resources, and budgets.

Quality Control :

• Implement and maintain quality standards for all projects and workshop outputs.
• Conduct regular inspections and resolve any technical or quality issues promptly.
• B.Tech or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in engineering or manufacturing.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
• Proven experience in technical design, drawing, and project management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with CNC machining and fabrication.
• Knowledge of ISO or similar quality standards.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
