Job description

My client in the Forestry Equipment arena is looking for a Workshop Co-Ordinator in Pietermaritzburg.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage control and standard of workshop equipment and housekeeping.
  • Stock management of critical spares.
  • Maintain onsite safety requirements.
  • Manage onsite and branch stock requirements.
  • Assist Parts Manager in relation to stocking and sales of parts.
  • Perform other tasks on site as required.
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for parts stocking in the workshop.
  • Manage work area of technicians.
  • Assist technicians in ensuring that the workshop is safe and work areas are demarcated.
  • Manage stock of critical spares for the workshop.
  • Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedules for the workshop.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety procedures for the workshop.
  • Initiate critical improvement projects across all operational areas in the workshop.
  • Assist with onsite maintenance.
Workshop Co-Ordinator Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3 years of hands-on workshop support experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
  • Driver's license.
  • Forklift Driver’s license, if applicable.
