Overview

As a WordPress Developer at Jimbu, you will be tasked with creating and maintaining visually appealing, fully functional websites based on bespoke designs. You’ll need to have hands-on experience working with a range of themes and page builders to manage various client websites. A deep understanding of WordPress, a keen eye for design, and strong content management abilities are essential. Ultimately, we’re looking for a WordPress specialist who can craft intuitive, user-friendly websites that align with both design and functionality goals while supporting the overall objectives of our clients.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience working as a WordPress developer
• Expertise in developing eCommerce websites using WooCommerce
• Ability to update and maintain websites across multiple themes
• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
• A good grasp of design fundamentals
• Knowledge of user experience (UX) best practices
• Experience using debugging tools
• Familiarity with website architecture and aesthetics
• Basic Photoshop skills (for identifying fonts, colors, and exporting assets from designs)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work systematically through project briefs, delivering feedback and updates to the team and clients
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of SEO and how website structure and content impact search engine optimisation
• Basic SEO setup skills using plugins for newly launched sites
• Experience with domains, hosting, databases, and FTP, specifically for WordPress website builds
