Job description

Ensure that finished goods are recorded and marked accurately and timeously in order to provide clients with excellent service.

POSITION INFO :

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure finished goods are marked correctly and items on the floor match the system.
• Once job is complete, actively collect jobs and receipt the products that have been manufactured in the factory by bundle.
• Ensure the receipt cost is accurate and correct.
• Once jobs have been receipted, mark the finished product with a barcode label.
• Ensure bar code and physical stock matches
• Ensure returned goods are marked correctly and items on the floor match the system.
• Inform relevant parties immediately when goods are returned.
• All Goods returned to be followed up and followed through.
• Stock to be revalued where applicable, and transferred to IRS
• Ensure on a daily basis that every bundle in the assigned bays has a barcode label, or a scrap control label or a cranking label.
• Ensure finished goods are marked properly and items on the floor match the system.
• Have an accurate knowledge of stock on floor at all times, including all goods returned.
• Answer stock on floor queries and supply a list to sales if requested. Create relevant paperwork to cut the stock on floor.
• Accurately issue, receipt and close stock on floor jobs.
• Ship sheeting on sales orders from the correct lots.
• Ensure that all line off cuts are put into Syspro daily, load on SCT for delivery every Thursday.
• Responsible for ensuring that the finished goods balance to the system at all times.
• Do weekly cycle counts on allocated finished goods.
• Prepare for quarterly stock take before the stock take.
• Participate in quarterly stock takes according to the published list for each stock count.
• Assist with work when other employees are off duty.
• Create Jobs and handle queries for Branches where required. Ensure all mails are processed within 2 hours of receipt. All correspondence for these branches must be actioned and followed up timeously.
• Assist Planning Manager with ad hoc items - as and when needed.

• Matric Certificate
• Valid Driver’s licence is essential
• Relevant Diploma / Degree in Production or Operations Management
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in WIP manufacturing processes or roofing.
• Experience in stock takes.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in metal industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have excellent Attention to detail
• Must be able to work under pressure
