Job description

Ensure that finished goods are recorded and marked accurately and timeously to provide clients with excellent service.

POSITION INFO: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ensure finished goods are marked correctly and items on the floor match the system.
  2. Once a job is complete, actively collect jobs and receipt the products manufactured in the factory by bundle.
  3. Ensure the receipt cost is accurate and correct.
  4. After receipting, mark the finished product with a barcode label.
  5. Ensure barcode and physical stock match.
  6. Ensure returned goods are marked correctly and items on the floor match the system.
  7. Inform relevant parties immediately when goods are returned.
  8. Follow up on all returned goods.
  9. Revalue stock where applicable and transfer to IRSE.
  10. Ensure every bundle in the assigned bays has a barcode, scrap control, or cranking label daily.
  11. Maintain accurate knowledge of stock on the floor, including returned goods.
  12. Respond to stock queries and provide lists to sales if requested.
  13. Create relevant paperwork to reduce stock on the floor.
  14. Accurately issue, receipt, and close stock on the floor jobs.
  15. Ship sheeting on sales orders from the correct lots.
  16. Ensure all line-off cuts are entered into Syspro daily and loaded on SCT for Thursday deliveries.
  17. Ensure finished goods balance with the system at all times.
  18. Perform weekly cycle counts on finished goods.
  19. Prepare for quarterly stock takes and participate as scheduled.
  20. Assist with other work when colleagues are off duty.
  21. Create jobs and handle queries for branches as needed.
Additional Responsibilities

Ensure all mails are processed within 2 hours of receipt.

Action and follow up on all correspondence for branches promptly.

Assist Planning Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Diploma/Degree in Production or Operations Management.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in WIP manufacturing processes or roofing.
  • Experience in stock takes and the metal industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
