A leading mining and resource group is seeking a Winder Engineer to ensure the safety, compliance, and peak performance of shaft winder systems. This pivotal role combines technical expertise, leadership, and project management to optimize critical infrastructure and lead a team of winder specialists.

Qualifications:
BSc/BTech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
OR S/N6 Diploma + P1 & P2
Experience:
10+ years in winder systems (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic)
3+ years in a leadership role (supervising teams or projects)
OEM collaboration and capital project management (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Mastery of winders, headgears, ropes, and HV/LV systems
Proficiency in PLCs, VSDs (analogue/digital), and SAP
Strong grasp of Mine Health & Safety Act and technical audits
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership for winder operations and troubleshooting
Lead commissioning, repairs, and upgrades of shaft winder systems
Define winder specifications with OEMs and ensure compliance
Manage capital/renewals projects and budget oversight
Conduct safety audits, revise Codes of Practice (CoPs), and mitigate risks
Oversee the UTS Winder Department, including after-hours support
