Job summary

Sarens is seeking an experienced Cranes & Installation (C&I) Manager to lead wind farm installation projects in South Africa and the broader region. You will oversee crane and installation operations on site, manage subcontractors, drive schedules, and ensure safety, quality and excellence across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven wind turbine installation experience.
• Extensive crane operations and heavy lifting expertise.
• Experience managing installation contractors.
• Strong project management and site execution experience.
• Excellent planning and leadership skills.
• Solid health, safety, environmental and quality standards knowledge.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced project environment.
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction/Project Management.
• PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead crane and wind turbine installation activities.
• Coordinate installation subcontractors for safe execution.
• Drive project schedules and hit milestones.
• Serve as operational liaison between clients, subcontractors, and teams.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements and client specs.
• Manage project resources, equipment, and site operations.
• Oversee contract execution, variations, and reporting.
• Foster safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
