About the Role

Our client, a fast-paced digital agency located in Benoni, Gauteng , is seeking a skilled and passionate Web Developer to join their growing technical team. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives on building dynamic and user-friendly websites and web applications. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle development of client projects, from concept and design to implementation and maintenance. Working within a collaborative environment, you'll contribute to a variety of exciting projects in the Creative & Digital space. We are looking for a developer with a strong understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality, scalable solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge web experiences for a diverse client base, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly websites and web applications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using relevant programming languages and frameworks. Collaborate with designers and project managers to translate concepts into functional web solutions. Implement frontend interfaces and integrate them with backend services. Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and search engine visibility. Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure a seamless user experience. Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry best practices. Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. Contribute to technical discussions and problem-solving sessions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Web Developer. Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a strong asset. Familiarity with backend technologies and databases (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB). Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Experience with version control systems like Git. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Relevant degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or a related field.
