Job description

Our client is looking for an Afrikaans speaking Wealth Assistant. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Formal Education: Matric, with appropriate tertiary qualifications being advantageous.
  • Experience: Appropriate administrative experience in the financial services industry is essential.
  • Critical Competencies: Excellent knowledge of English (read, write) and Afrikaans (read, write, speak).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Servicing clients by assimilating investment/fund values, performance statistics, and client information.
  • Preparing retirement planning, investment proposals, and review documentation.
  • Assisting with wills and other client documentation in consultation with the Wealth Planner/Manager.
  • Making payments on behalf of clients and tracking these payments.
  • Handling client complaints and inquiries.
  • Obtaining tax certificates and other documentation as required.
  • Ensuring all interactions comply with TCF principles.
  • Processing new business and implementing client instructions in investment and insurance matters.
  • Obtaining and verifying documentation, including arranging medicals if necessary.
  • Communicating with clients about the status of their instructions.
  • Following up on incomplete business and ensuring timely completion of documentation and fee forms.
  • Preparing comprehensive handover files for the Wealth Manager.
  • Ensuring client documentation complies with FICA & FAIS legislation.
  • Scheduling meetings, maintaining client records, and managing administrative duties.
  • Providing relief duties as required and performing ad hoc tasks.
