Job summary

University of Fort Hare is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor/Foreman for a water treatment plant in Witbank, Mpumalanga. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee electrical operations, and ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

The role requires an N4 Millwright/Electrician background with MV qualification and proven supervisory experience, plus strong fault-finding and adherence to OHS/MHS regulations.

Qualifications

• N4 qualified millwright/electrician with recognised electrical apprenticeship and Section 13 Trade Test.
• Medium Voltage qualification and MV switching experience mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to apply and control maintenance management systems.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance and operations of industrial water treatment plants.
• Strong electrical background with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot issues quickly.
• Solid understanding of OHS and MHS Act regulations and practices.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis methods.

Responsibilities
