Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Water Access Project Coordinator to lead planning, execution and delivery of clean water initiatives for Upington communities in the Northern Cape. The role emphasizes field work, stakeholder engagement, and strict adherence to technical standards.

You will manage scopes, budgets and schedules across multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with engineers, contractors and regulators to secure permits and ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management for water infrastructure or sanitation projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and completion of water access projects in Upington and surrounding communities.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for water infrastructure.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Manage project implementation ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers and community stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure community participation and transparent communication with beneficiaries.
• Manage budgets and financial reporting with accountability.
