Duties / Responsibilities
- Responsible for weekly stock takes – tyres, rims, and accessories.
- Conducting and initiating weekly scrapping.
- Maintaining minimum stock levels in stores as per SLA.
- Ensuring correct dispatching of goods and adherence to company protocols.
- Cross-checking picking slips and invoices.
- Upholding security in the dispatch area, with gates locked except during vehicle loading.
- Thoroughly checking goods against relevant invoices.
- Completing all documents correctly to standard.
- Signing off on all necessary documentation without exception.
- Handing in all completed documentation correctly.
- Thinking quickly and solving problems as they arise.
- Working overtime as needed.
- Participating in monthly stock takes.
- Checking the dispatch floor for goods ready to load.
- Arranging the flow of loading.
- Working efficiently and accurately.
General
Supporting the Branch Manager with daily operations and managing the branch in their absence to maximize customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
Admin
- Assisting in the daily operation of the truck fitting bay warehouse.
- Managing client relations and floor activities.
- Assisting in ensuring branch profitability.
- Assisting in managing staff.
Time Sheet
- Preparing staff rosters, including weekends.
- Assisting with customers using the "INTERSECT" tyres management system.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Prioritizing daily workload.
- Ensuring customer requests are executed correctly.
- Monitoring client service within SOP timeframes.
- Performing spot checks on fitments on trucks and trailers.
- Ensuring staff adhere to SOP.
- Assisting with fault identification and offering solutions.
- Controlling consumables.
- Working in accordance with the job description.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 3-5 years of supervisory or people management experience.
- Computer literacy, especially with Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of tyres is an advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership qualities.
- Quality control experience.
- Client liaison skills.
