Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Stock Control Assistant to join our client's warehouse and logistics team.
This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of stock records, the smooth movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, and maintaining a well-organized and compliant stock environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse stock management, with a solid understanding of stock control processes within the electronics or cellular device industry.

Location: Cape Town, CBD
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 08:00 - 17:00
Salary: Market-related and commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Storing Goods:
- Receive stock deliveries, cross-check against purchase orders and delivery notes for accuracy. Inspect goods for damages, discrepancies, or missing items and report accordingly
- Ensure correct labeling of stock and place goods in the appropriate storage areas to ensure easy access and identification
Inventory Control and Auditing:
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy. Support full stock takes and reconciliation processes between physical counts and inventory management systems.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movements, and adjustments on the system
Dispatching and Fulfillment:
- Pick, prepare, and pack items accurately for dispatch according to order specifications.
- Ensure that all stock prepared for dispatch is correctly documented and labeled. Collaborate with couriers and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Stock Discrepancy Management:
- Identify and investigate stock variances, reporting discrepancies to the Stock Controller or Supervisor.
- Assist in root cause analysis of recurring stock issues and support the implementation of corrective actions
General Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain the cleanliness, order, and safety of the warehouse environment.
- Organize stock systematically to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Support other warehouse activities as required by supervisors
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) is a minimum requirement.
- 6-12 months of experience in a stock control, warehouse, or inventory management role.
- Experience in the cellular device, electronics, or repair industry would be a distinct advantage.
- Proficient in using inventory control systems and basic computer programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- An N-qualification in Electronics is advantageous but not mandatory
