Job summary

The Recruiters are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Pharmacist Assistant for Johannesburg. You will be responsible for receiving stock, QA checks, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requirements include registration with the SAPC and at least 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical warehousing. A valid driver’s licence is advantageous, and flexibility to work shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the SAPC.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Warehouse Pharmacist Assistant.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with inventory control and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and cGxP regulations.
• Must be able and willing to work shifts.
• Valid driver’s licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and accurately record incoming pharmaceutical stock.
• Monitor batch numbers, expiry dates, temperature and humidity controls.
• Pick, pack, verify and prepare pharmaceutical orders for dispatch.
• Maintain inventory using FEFO principles and perform cycle counts.
• Ensure compliance with SAPC regulations, GWP, SOPs and Health & Safety standards.
• Manage controlled medicines according to legal requirements.
• Assist with warehouse quality checks, audits and regulatory inspections.
• Investigate and report inventory variances.
• Support customer complaint resolution and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Contribute to a positive, safety-focused and high-performing team environment.
