Job Title: Warehouse Operator - Loading (Edenvale, JHB East Rand)

Purpose of the Role

• The Warehouse Operator - Loading is responsible for efficiently packing, wrapping, and loading pallets onto bulk loads according to transfer sheets, and directly loading products into trucks based on invoices. This role is vital for ensuring accurate, secure loading, maintaining quality standards, and supporting smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Packing and Wrapping Pallets: Properly packaging and securing products on pallets, labeling them for identification, and following transfer sheet instructions.
2. Loading Pallets: Safely loading packed pallets onto bulk loads, adhering to specifications and guidelines.
3. Direct Product Loading: Loading products into trucks as per supervisor instructions, ensuring accuracy and security.
4. Quality Control: Ensuring loaded products meet quality standards and are handled properly to prevent damage.
5. Equipment Operation: Safely operating forklifts and pallet jacks, conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance.
6. Collaboration & Communication: Coordinating with team members, supervisors, and drivers to facilitate loading activities.
7. Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate documentation of loaded products, quantities, and lot numbers.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identifying and suggesting process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
9. Safety Compliance: Using PPE, adhering to safety guidelines, and fostering a safe work environment.
10. Team Goals: Contributing to team objectives and overall operational success.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• 2-3 years of experience in a loading role within the FMCG industry and Cold Storage environment.
• Valid Electric Pallet Jack License.
• Forklift License.
