About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce retailer, is seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join their busy distribution center in East London, Eastern Cape. This role is fundamental to ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for picking items from shelves, packing them securely for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer orders using hand-held scanners or pick lists.
• Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate packaging materials.
• Ensure all picked and packed items are correctly labeled for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
• Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming stock as needed.
• Identify and report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and security procedures.
• Meet individual and team productivity targets.
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is an advantage, but not essential.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move goods up to a certain weight (e.g., 15kg).
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Understanding of basic health and safety principles.
• Must be able to work full-time shifts in East London, Eastern Cape.
