Job description

Key Performance Areas
  • The incumbent will be responsible for an operational team, ensuring the achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • The successful candidate must ensure all relevant shift KPIs are met, and controls are performed correctly, accurately, and in accordance with procedures.
  • Proper record keeping, effective communication of all shift operations-related issues, and updating work instructions and SOPs will be essential.
  • This person will be responsible for stock counts, housekeeping, and assisting the stock control team in following up on stock discrepancies for all stock transferred from production and sold to customers, using WMS/ERP systems.
  • The incumbent is expected to regularly identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within their area of responsibility.
Knowledge and Skills
  • The successful candidate will have a Matric qualification, with additional qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent, along with previous supervisory or management experience leading a team in a highly unionized environment.
  • The incumbent should possess the ability to work under pressure and be familiar with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System).
