Craven Cottage CC in Roodepoort is seeking an experienced logistics leader to develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy. You will oversee warehousing, inventory, transport and distribution across multiple locations, driving efficiency, cost control and service levels while ensuring stock accuracy.

The role requires strong leadership, 5–7 years in warehouse management and a solid financial acumen, with proficiency in WMS/ERP and advanced analytics.

• Relevant degree in operations, logistics, supply chain or engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification or MBA is advantageous.
• 5–7 years warehouse management experience.
• 5+ years in a senior management or executive logistics role.
• Experience managing large warehouse and distribution operations.

Duties:

• Develop and execute the company's logistics strategy in line with business objectives.
• Lead all warehousing, inventory, transport and distribution operations across multiple locations.
• Drive improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, service levels and operational performance.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and stock integrity through robust warehouse controls.
• Manage third‑party logistics providers (3PLs), freight partners and transport contracts.
• Monitor and improve OTIF (On‑Time In‑Full) delivery performance.
• Establish and report on key logistics KPIs and operational dashboards.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation.
• Manage compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies and industry best practices.
• Develop warehouse layouts, storage strategies and capacity planning initiatives.
• Lead business continuity planning for logistics operations.
• Drive warehouse automation and technology improvements, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Prepare and manage logistics budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Build, coach and develop high‑performing logistics teams.
• Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Customer Experience and Service departments to ensure seamless order fulfilment.

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering
