Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager for its Port Elizabeth distribution center. The role oversees receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment, driving layout optimization and workflow improvements.

The successful candidate will lead a team to meet productivity and accuracy targets, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with carriers/3PLs for timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse or distribution center management.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for warehouse security and staff safety.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering productivity and accountability.
• Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Utilize WMS to track inventory, manage orders, and generate performance reports.
