Job summary

Placements24 in Upington is seeking a proactive Warehouse Operations Assistant to support daily warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing and dispatching goods, while ensuring accuracy and safety.

You'll work with the warehouse team to maintain orderly, safe processes, contribute to inventory accuracy, and participate in a structured training program designed to develop your warehouse operations skills and provide clear opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory principles.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods according to established procedures.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support inventory management through cycle counts and stock replenishment activities.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including workstations and aisles.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational targets and uphold safety standards.
