Our client, a leading importer and manufacturer of high-quality tables and seating solutions for B2B clients nationwide—including corporates, retailers, architects, interior designers, and restaurant chains—is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager. This key leadership role requires a hands-on professional with strong expertise in warehouse operations, assembly, inventory control, and team management within a high-volume, furniture manufacturing or distribution environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric and tertiary qualification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field (advantageous)
- Minimum of 5+ years in a senior warehouse management role
- Essential: Experience in furniture or component manufacturing/logistics
- Proven experience managing a warehouse and logistics team of 20 or more staff
- Proficient in Excel and MIS (inventory and planning)
- Strong leadership, planning and communication skills
- Hands-on, solutions-driven and operationally savvy
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all warehousing operations ensuring inventory accuracy and reliable stock reporting
- Manage storage processes and replenishment to maximise space and efficiency
- Plan and conduct regular cycle counts and major stock takes, resolving variances swiftly
- Oversee safe receiving and dispatch, maintaining documentation and labelling standards
- Minimise shrinkage, damage, and obsolescence across all stock categories
- Instil a culture of discipline, accountability, and team spirit
- Oversee time and attendance, conduct performance reviews, and enforce company policies
- Ensure all team members comply with health, safety and operational protocols
- Take full ownership of inbound and outbound logistics, including receiving, assembly, dispatch and returns
- Plan and manage efficient multi-drop delivery routes to optimise cost and meet timelines
- Supervise offloading of containers, local collections, and casual labour when required
- Coordinate with the sales and admin teams to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time
- Maintain premises, tools, equipment, vehicles and housekeeping to company standards
- Ensure site security, including after-hours alarm monitoring when required
- Support health and safety compliance, and ensure professional presentation of the business at all times
- Liaise with suppliers, staff and customers in a courteous and effective manner
