Well-known medical device company is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team in Pretoria.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and distribution of products for the organization.
This role involves overseeing warehouse structures and procedures, forecasting supply and demand, and maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in streamlining supply chain processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with ISO and health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include international freight management, cost-effective importing and exporting, and adherence to best practices for stock storage, including cold chain management and FIFO principles.
The role also requires the effective use of inventory software to track stock movement, manage purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
The Warehouse Manager leads a team of warehouse associates, monitors their performance, and implements training programs to enhance efficiency and safety.
Additionally, they collaborate with executive management to set strategic goals, prepare annual budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to meet financial objectives.

Responsibilities include:
- Managing warehouse structures and procedures.
- Forecasting supply and demand, making recommendations on reordering to prevent overstocking and stockouts.
- Analyzing supply chain data to ensure stock availability.
- Managing purchasing orders and coordinating with vendors.
- Utilizing inventory software for stock tracking and discrepancy resolution.
- Managing cost-effective importing/exporting and inventory costing.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock management systems.
- Overseeing international freight operations.
- Managing stock storage processes, including cold chain and FIFO.
- Supervising warehouse staff, monitoring performance, and leading safety and training initiatives.
- Managing consignment sets and coordinating quarterly stock takes.
- Collaborating on setting warehouse and team goals.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO and health and safety standards.
- Preparing budgets, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
Educational and Certification Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12) minimum.
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or related field preferred.
- Certifications in Inventory or Supply Chain Management are advantageous.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in warehouse management, preferably in healthcare or medical devices.
- Proven success in managing stock levels, conducting stock takes, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Experience with international freight, importing/exporting, and vendor management.
- Leadership experience, including staff development and performance monitoring.
- Financial management skills, including budgeting and variance analysis.
