Duties

Oversee the daily running of warehouse activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and within company standards.

Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse and yard, ensuring that all areas are compliant with health and safety regulations.

Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accurate inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and resolve stock-related issues. Monitor stock movements and ensure optimal storage of goods.

Continuously work on improving the picking, packing, and receiving processes to enhance overall productivity and efficiency in warehouse operations.

Ensure the well-being of all warehouse staff, promoting a positive working environment. Allocate resources and manage staff to ensure optimal performance across all warehouse functions.

Ensure that warehouse functions are adequately staffed on a daily basis, adjusting staffing levels as needed to meet operational demands.

Waybill and Courier Management :

Review and monitor waybills and courier accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.

Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company policies and legal requirements. Implement corrective actions where necessary.

Follow up on back-orders and overdue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and preventing any operational delays.

Ensure that daily targets for receiving and dispatching goods are met, maintaining the efficiency of both inbound and outbound operations.

Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Regularly conduct safety checks and provide staff training where needed.

Liaise with customer service and sales teams regarding any client or product-specific special requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing of these requests to assist with any other duties / tasks as may require from time to time.
