Warehouse Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager based in George to fill the position.

Key Performance Areas

1. Warehouse
   • Receiving
   • Stock Control
   • General warehouse duties, including housekeeping
   • Management of documentation
   • Management of warehouse staff
   • Participate in all stock takes
2. Logistics
   • Scheduling of collections & returns
   • Schedule, plan and execute all deliveries to branches and customers
   • Management of third-party deliveries (3PL)
3. Cost Control
   • Keep warehouse costs within budget
   • Tight control of expenses
   • Promote efficient warehousing methodologies
   • Manage and safeguard all company assets

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. Grade 12
2. Diploma in warehousing or logistics would be advantageous
3. Minimum of 5 years warehousing and logistics experience within a merchant business supplying industry (preferably plumbing)
4. Good knowledge of warehousing IT software package (K8 would be advantageous)

Additional Requirements

1. Possibility of working on Saturdays (8-13)
2. Assertive but pleasant manner in dealing with suppliers, customers, and staff
3. Ability to work without supervision
4. Ability to work under pressure
5. Fully bi-lingual and literate
