Manage and oversee the import/export operations of the organization.
Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and laws.
Prepare and manage documentation for the customs clearance process.
Coordinate transportation and logistics activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officials.
Prepare and analyze reports on import/export activities, including shipping schedules and costs.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize import/export operations and reduce costs.
Track cost savings using the company's Savings Tool (iSAVE)
Support all business units regarding imports, exports, and transportation of goods.
Establish an internal map of main routes (imports, exports, and transport).
Negotiate and establish a transport price database for main routes (agreements).
Manage transport documentation for import/export purposes, if required.
Duties:
- Identify and analyze the transport needs of the company (main routes).
- Identify potential suppliers (shipping and transport companies).
- Prepare a transportation plan for the company (defining volumes).
- Support the development of sourcing strategies by identifying value creation opportunities and supporting sourcing execution.
- Support negotiations to optimize logistics costs (local agreements).
- Establish a transport price database for main routes.
- Implement logistics agreements across all operational divisions.
- Manage transport requests in the internal ERP system (Latis).
- Follow up and track shipping/transport orders.
- Provide regular feedback on activities (budget follow-up, supplier evaluation).
- Track and report savings using the company's Savings Tool (iSAVE).
- Identify risks and strategic project demands to enhance business results, focusing on customer service excellence and shareholder value.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the departmental manager.

Qualifications:
- Qualification in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Imports, or Exports.
- At least 5 years of experience in import/export operations and logistics management.
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations and laws.
- Experience in customs clearance and transportation logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP and LATIS) and Google Suite.
- Experience with importing/exporting hazardous goods and chemicals.
- Experience in importing/exporting into African countries.
