REQUIREMENTS :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

DUTIES :

General Worker’s Basic Function & Structure of Daily Tasks :

  • Report to the supervisor at the start of each day for daily tasks and duties at 07 : 45.
  • Inform the supervisor of any absence before 08 : 00.
  • Stay until 17 : 30 when necessary for pick lists printed after 17 : 00 for the next morning’s delivery.
  • Use the clocking system at the start and end of each working day and during tea breaks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

General Worker’s Checklists :

  • Pick all orders immediately without delay.
  • Report damaged stock to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Write your name on the pick list and record the Sales Order number and number of lines.
  • Follow up on any missing items with the location worker.
  • Prioritize collections, couriers, and urgent pick lists.
  • Ensure accuracy in picking and placing items in the delivery bay.

Picking of Bulk Orders :

  • Confirm placement of bulk orders with QC.
  • Group stock according to the sales order with visible part numbers.

Secondary Functions :

  • Take responsibility for all stock and tools.
  • Report damaged tools immediately.
  • Ensure stock is in the correct locations, easily accessible, and clearly labelled.
  • Handle stock returns daily and ensure samples are returned to locations.

Creating Space for Incoming Container Stock :

  • Receive container papers a week in advance to prepare space.
  • Create new locations for new stock.
  • Hand back container papers to the supervisor for SAP updates.

How to Pack Stock in Location :

  • Pack stock according to car make and similar items together.
  • Pack stock in alphabetical order and avoid placing similar part numbers close together.
  • Create boxes for loose items with less than five units.

Stock Receiving Procedure :

  • Verify and inspect incoming stock.
  • Update records and notify the supervisor of any discrepancies.

RFC (Return for Credit) Procedure :

  • Follow established procedures for handling returns for credit.
  • Ensure proper documentation and inspection of returned items.

General Day-to-Day Basic Duties :

  • Complete daily picking tasks.
  • Pack items correctly to prevent damage.
  • Ensure stock is easily accessible.
  • Clearly label all parts.

Tools Available and Their Use :

  • Utilize available tools efficiently.
  • Maintain tools in good working condition.

Always Ask if You Don’t Understand :

  • Seek clarification from supervisors when needed.
  • Ensure understanding of tasks and procedures.

Boxes Without Quantity Labels Must Be Opened to Verify Contents :

  • Open unlabeled boxes to verify and document contents accurately.
