JOB TITLE : Warehouse Driver & Assistant

OVERVIEW : JOB PURPOSE : As a Warehouse Driver & Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing support in various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving. Your responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

DRIVING

o Operate a vehicle in a safe and efficient manner according to traffic laws and company policies.

o Transport passengers or cargo to specified destinations promptly and safely.

o Maintain the vehicle in a clean and orderly condition, performing routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues.

o Plan and follow optimal routes to ensure timely delivery or arrival.

o Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a comfortable travel experience.

o Adhere to all company and legal requirements regarding vehicle operation, including licensing and insurance.

o Assist with loading and unloading of goods if required.

o Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.

o Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues that arise.

o Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

o Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.

o Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels.

o Perform regular cycle counts to reconcile inventory discrepancies.

ORDER FULFILLMENT

o Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.

o Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outbound shipments.

o Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely and cost-effective deliveries.

WAREHOUSE ORGANIZATION

o Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.

o Arrange and store products in designated locations, optimizing space utilization.

o Assist in the disposal of damaged or obsolete items.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION

o Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move and transport goods.

o Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.

QUALITY CONTROL

o Inspect products for damage or defects before shipping.

o Report any quality issues to the supervisor or relevant personnel.

COMMUNICATION

o Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

o Provide status updates on inventory levels and order processing.

SAFETY COMPLIANCE

o Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

o Participate in safety training programs as required.

DOCUMENTATION

o Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and other relevant documentation.

o Generate reports as needed for inventory and order management.

PROBLEM SOLVING

o Identify and report any issues affecting warehouse operations to the supervisor.

o Assist in resolving problems related to inventory discrepancies or order fulfillment.

REQUIREMENTS

o Must have a valid EC1 (CODE 10) driver's license.
