Warehouse Driver

We sell exclusively to accredited Mesmerize distributors and support a wide range of stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, sales staff, installers, and end-users. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Port Elizabeth for a Warehouse Driver.

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):

1. Pull and organize customer orders for delivery from warehouse as directed by delivery note paperwork, or as instructed.
2. Provide excellent customer service to all customers, ensuring the order being delivered is correct.
3. Follow delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and safety of delivery run.
4. Pick up any and all applicable returns and faulties, with correct paperwork, and returning them to the branch.
5. Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
6. Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas.
7. Package, label, and ship customer orders by Couriers / collections/ local truck deliveries.
8. Check vehicles before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
9. Maneuver vehicles into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
10. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable regulations.
11. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
12. Participate in regular stock counts.

Requirements

1. Experience in Unloading, Shipping, and Receiving operations
2. Proficiency in Packing and Vehicle Operation
3. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus
