Job description

Job Title: Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor
Location: Eastern Cape, Mthatha
Deadline: June 15, 2025
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs using IT systems.
  2. Coordinate and control the order cycle through information systems.
  3. Evaluate performance and quality using data from IT systems and plan improvements.
  4. Allocate and manage resources based on changing needs.
  5. Daily scanning of PODs.
  6. Report low stock items to the Buyer to maintain optimal stock levels.
  7. Manage and oversee employees.
  8. Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers.
  9. Strive to improve business performance within legislative, fuel, and environmental constraints.
  10. Set objectives, develop new supply strategies, and plan vehicle routes.
  11. Ensure licensing and maintenance of machinery and vehicles.
  12. Monitor and report on monthly fuel consumption.
  13. Review GPS reports for anomalies such as speed, excess idling, and route deviations.
  14. Plan and administer internal manufacturing operations.
  15. Manage stock counts, deliveries, and reporting.
  16. Implement and uphold quality and safety policies.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  18. Possess related experience in warehousing, stock control, and financial administration.
  19. Apply a logical and systematic approach to work.
  20. Maintain good time management skills.
  21. Demonstrate problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking abilities.
  22. Possess commercial awareness, numeracy, and financial skills.
  23. Manage change effectively.
  24. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and team leadership.

Minimum Academic Qualifications
  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Production, or equivalent (preferred).
Experience Requirements
  • 2-3 years of general work experience in a medium to large service-oriented organization.
  • 3-5 years of specific experience in production processes or logistical environments.
  • Industry experience in Warehouse/Logistics and Transportation.
