Placements24 seeks an experienced Warehouse Distribution Manager for a major FMCG facility in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role oversees receiving, storage, order fulfillment, inventory control, and outbound logistics on-site, driving efficiency, product integrity, and safety across a large workforce.

Leading a diverse team of supervisors, staff, and drivers, you will implement WMS solutions, manage budgets, and forge strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with health and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse and distribution management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, order fulfillment, and transportation management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire warehouse and distribution operation, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for warehouse layout, workflow, and resource allocation.
• Oversee inventory management processes to maintain accuracy, minimize discrepancies, and reduce holding costs.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of warehouse supervisors, staff, and drivers.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
• Implement and optimize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to enhance operational performance.
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient outbound delivery of goods.
