Warehouse Controller (Dry Goods) required in Stellenbosch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administration Processes:
- Monitoring and reporting on truck schedules (Daily, Weekly & Monthly).
- Assist with record keeping of attendance and clocking to provide HR with accurate timesheets by the due date.
- Review warehouse processes and update procedures accordingly.
- Issue documentation for removal of excisable finished goods (Customs Authorization Letter).
- Sign off and monitor invoices (Transport, etc.) for FG.
- Provide stock status information to internal and external customers as required.
- Create purchase orders, follow up with receipt, and email complete packages to Finance.
- Send monthly reports of OWS Pallet (Returnable) status.
- Picking accuracy & F-Code Reworks:
- Monitor and coordinate the picking process.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure accurate and timely stock adjustments.
- Ensure accurate stock transfers between different statuses.
- Maintain efficient stock rotation using FIFO system.
- Investigate and report all stock variances.
- Ensure all stock reporting is accurate and up-to-date.
- Process dry goods write-offs accurately and on time, arranging for stock removal from the warehouse and site.
- Process leaker incidents accurately and promptly.
- Supervise reworks without F-code.
- People Management:
- Flexibility to supervise and control both dry goods and finished goods employees.
- Health, Safety & Housekeeping:
- Assist with audits and close out non-conformances.
- Manage all transporters of FGs on-site to ensure compliance with HSHG policies.
- Address warehouse and distribution complaints promptly and close out CAR documents with corrective actions.
- Maintain Hygiene Management procedures through regular GEMBA walks.
- Participate in health and safety team meetings.
- Comply with safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain order and standards of housekeeping.
- Ensure a neat, tidy, and safe work environment.
- Review OHS requirements monthly.
- Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts of dry goods.
- Maintain accurate and current stock information in the system.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and information flow.
- Keep accurate time and attendance records.
- Assist with incident investigations and reconciliations.
- Supervise proper pickings for dry goods, avoiding F-code reworks.
- Adhere to all company and statutory policies and procedures.
- Maintenance & Compliance:
- Maintain forklift and compliance registers.
- Review and update warehouse processes and procedures.
- Monitor and sign off invoices related to transport and other services.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Warehouse and Distribution Management.
- Computer literacy in SAGE, MS Word, Outlook, Excel (Intermediate/Advanced).
- Skills in warehouse and distribution, product knowledge, accurate record keeping, organization, planning, problem-solving, and communication.
