Job Summary: A Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, transportation, and delivery of materials and products.

This role involves loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to job sites and customers.

The position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive 26-foot box truck on scheduled local routes with occasional unscheduled stops and changes.
  • May drive other vehicles to deliver materials, such as company vans.
  • Assist with loading trucks and vehicles; deliver and unload materials to job sites.
  • Responsible for accurate delivery of materials as noted on orders and work tickets.
  • Document or communicate status of delivery, including changes, with manager.
  • Unload, check-in, and stage materials for jobs.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety checks.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members to troubleshoot delivery issues.
  • Assist with warehouse maintenance, focusing on a clean and organized work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly without restriction.
  • 6+ months delivery driving experience for wholesale customers.
  • 6+ months customer service experience.
  • 6+ months box truck or similar vehicle experience preferred.
  • 6+ months warehouse, construction, or large item delivery experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read/write basic English correspondence.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to frequently step up and down on forklift, walk through the warehouse, use foot controls, and deliver materials on uneven jobsites. Team lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally.

Work Environment:

Warehouse environment with potential tight deadlines, loud noise, and temperature variations. Occasionally very hot or cold conditions.
